Mr. Clinton Sellers

Clinton had an extensive and noteworthy managerial career of federal service in Human Resources, serving as Director, Center of Personnel Management Information Systems and Payroll, Deputy Director, Division of Personnel Policy and Data, and many other leadership positions. During his career, Clinton received numerous awards, but the most profound moment in his professional career was receiving SSA’s highest honor award, the prestigious Commissioner’s Citation for successfully modernizing and converting the Social Security Payroll/Personnel Services to the Department of Interior’s Payroll System, for over 65,000 employees nationwide. This represented the largest one-time conversion in the federal government.

As a civic and service-minded resident of Howard County, Clinton has demonstrated his commitment to his church and public service. He has served as Basileus, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Vice Chair of the Board of Public Works, Co-Chair Martin Luther King Holiday Commission, Chairman, Gospel Extravaganza sponsored by the Howard County Office on Aging and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and several other civic and community service organizations. Clinton was a pioneering leader who was a founder of the Tau Pi Foundation Fund, Inc.

Clinton received his formal education from North Carolina A&T State and Johns Hopkins Universities. As a devoted and concerned student, Clinton participated in the historic Sit-in Movement in Greensboro, NC, February 1960.

Clinton has been an active member of St John Baptist Church for more than thirty five years serving in several capacities: Chairman, Deacon Board Ministry, President of the Adult Usher Board, member of the Courtesy Guild, Trustee Board, and chaired committees, such as Men’s Day, Usher’s Anniversary, and the compelling 2009 Prayer for the Community / Celebration for President elect, Barack Obama.
