Mr. Eddie L. Moat

Eddie L. Moat is a skilled educator, nonprofit leader and grant manager. As a former biology teacher, Peace Corp volunteer and current education discretionary grant manager, he has dedicated his life to supporting and mentoring youth. He has led as Chief Financial Officer for a USAID grant to a national youth group and organized for two years a provincial science fair. Mr. Moat has demonstrated focus and flexibility in meeting a plethora of challenges and committing to educational reform through community activism.
Mr. Moat graduated from Morehouse College, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his Master of Science in Nonprofit and Association Management from University of Maryland University College. He holds certificates in Grants Management- Federal Track, Contracting Officer Representative and received in 2016, the MLK Drum Major for service award.
Mr. Moat is a community focused leader who is dedicated to helping nonprofit entities focused on the benefiting of youth, through mentorship and service. He is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association, Morehouse College Alumni Association, and National Peace Corps Association. He also volunteers with EverybodyWinsDC!, Homeless Children’s Playtime Project, Elizabeth’s House, BestKids Mentoring and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. His hobbies include cooking, basketball, reading, art and traveling.
